STAR WARS
The “Star Wars” saga has six episodes. Initially, it was created as a trilogy, but as fans wanted more, George Lucas (the producer of “Star Wars”) gave them another three episodes to satisfy their craving.
The first three episodes are called: “A New Hope”, “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return Of The Jedi” and take us into a world with villains that control the galaxy (The Emperor, Darth Vader), heroes who fight for freedom (Luke Skywalker – brilliant name choice, by the way, Princess Leia, Han Solo), beings from other planets, starships and The Force – something that surrounds and invades us and controls our destinies.
Only a few know The Force and those are either on the light side of it – they protect peace in the galaxy and are called Jedi knights, like Luke Skywalker, Yoda or Obi Wan Kenobi or on its dark side like The Emperor and Darth Vader who are called Sith and are evil and only care about power.
The other three episodes are called: “The Phantom Menace”, “Attack Of The Clones” and “Revenge Of The Sith” and were filmed approximately 20 years after the first three “Star Wars” movies as prequels. These three “Star Wars” episodes concentrate on how Anakin Skywalker becomes the evil, disfigured, heavy breathing Darth Vader in his terrifying black costume. They show how Anakin turns from the light side of The Force to its dark side, being seduced by it.
Anakin becomes consumed by his feelings – fear, hate, love, feelings which he should not have as a Jedi. He falls in love with the beautiful Padmé who he desperately tries to save from the visions of death that he has about her and in his quest for a higher power to save her he falls to the dark side.
“Star Wars” holds many surprises which I am sure you will like and which will turn you into a fan like they have me.
